Would you like to increase your stamina , to finally do the things that move you forward? Do you want more staying power to finally reach your goals? In this article I want to give you a few tips that should help you exactly.
Regardless of whether you lose weight quickly , build muscles , run a marathon or just get sporty , you always need a lot of patience and Perseverance. This is the only way you can achieve something great. As soon as you set yourself a goal that you cannot achieve overnight, it is important to stick to the route to your goal and not to throw in the towel at some point along the way.
You have probably already had experience with what it is like when you run out of breath halfway through and you stop doing what you should. That can be very frustrating. This moment usually throws you back a long way. Old habits break down again and it can take a while to gather enough energy to try again.
In this short article I would like to give you a few tips today on how you can increase your stamina so that exactly this does not happen to you again in the future. If you want to make the most of it, then don’t just read these tips. If one of the following tips appeals to you, write it down and apply it. You can really effectively increase your stamina by just using the following tips.
1) Find a goal that drives you
The first and most important step is always to look for a goal for which perseverance is worthwhile. So find yourself a goal that you really want to achieve. It’s best to have a really big goal that you really want to start with if you just imagine how you will have achieved it in a few weeks or months.
You then deal with this goal in order to understand your why behind it. If you put some more time into a good target formulation , it will be much easier for you to persevere. Because for the right goal you can survive some dry spells.
2) Always have your goal in mind
Setting a goal once is definitely important. However, you should also make sure that you keep it in mind. To do this, you have to keep reminding yourself of your goal. For example, as part of your morning ritual every morning, you could imagine how you achieved your goal. So you can see it every day and let yourself be driven by it.
It is very helpful, even if you manage to keep your goal in mind without having to actively do anything to achieve it. For example, you can write it down and hang it in your apartment in a clearly visible place. You can also e.g. program a daily reminder into your mobile phone. Every memory is good to keep your goal active in your mindset.
3) Create the necessary habits
A structured approach always makes it easier to maintain changed behavior. For this reason, you should quickly build a structure that makes it easier for you to persevere. To do this, you can gradually make fitness a habit. Over time, automatisms develop that help you stay on course. In principle, you just have to consistently maintain the desired behavior for a longer period of time and slowly an automatism develops.
As soon as it works automatically, you no longer have to overcome yourself. That way you will find it much easier to have enough stamina to do the things that are necessary to achieve your goal.
4) Focus on the day and not the year
Often it is the large number of steps that lie ahead of us that consciously and above all subconsciously scares us. I’ve already got down on my knees before doing some great tasks. In such cases it is important that you always focus on the next steps. If you want to increase your stamina, it makes sense to think from day to day and from week to week.
In this context, it can also make sense to set intermediate goals for you. That way, the big, indigestible chunk of your big goal is broken down into small, realistic steps.
5) Focus on one thing
You may not have known this, but focus is a superpower. It is your superpower that you can use to increase your stamina and achieve your goals. Where your concentration goes, your energy goes too. So make sure that as much energy as possible goes in the right direction.
I personally tend to overconfirm myself and sometimes think that I can do everything at the same time. However, this is nonsense and usually has the effect that I can’t do anything. Or I can’t do everything (by far) as well as I would like. If, on the other hand, I focus on one thing, the result is usually right and it is not so difficult for me to persevere.
So if you want to increase your stamina, you should concentrate on one thing and pull it off.
6) Find like-minded colleagues
If you want to increase your stamina, it can be helpful to have someone by your side who also wants to.
You don’t have to do everything by yourself. When you have someone who has goals similar to yours, you can support each other. This can be a classic training partner or a kind of target buddy. If your motivation gets tight, your buddy will help you on the jumps and vice versa. This way you both make it much easier to hold out.
7) Accept your imperfection
You are not perfect. I am not perfect. None of us humans are perfect and nobody should expect that of themselves. Exaggerated perfectionism ultimately only harms you and prevents you from achieving your goals. Don’t let small setbacks throw you off course. Stick to your goals and you will achieve them.
By the way, most people who are convinced that they are a little perfectionist tend to be over-perfectionism. Just in case you’ve just thought about it.
8) Bonus tip: Get regular motivational impulses
If you want to get through the (sometimes hard) path to your goals, it can’t hurt to get motivation impulses from outside on a regular basis. You could do this, for example, by subscribing to good fitness blogs or podcasts and reading or listening to them regularly.
It is certainly not a shame if you have a really good process at hand that has already worked for others in similar situations. There are trainers, coaches, books and online courses that deal with how you can achieve your goals as safely as possible. Don’t be afraid to use them for support.
By the way, my first book on the subject of Overcoming the weaker self and achieving goals was recently published. With this book, I would like to give people like you who want to achieve a goal a process in hand and make it easier for them to persevere. There is also the option of receiving various motivational impulses and other assistance from me.
Conclusion – increasing stamina is possible
In my experience, the tips described are very effective starting points if you want to increase your stamina and thus less often stray from the path to your goals. Try what you like and feel free to write me a comment about your experience with it. Of course, there are other techniques that can work here as well. In my opinion, however, the procedures described are a very good starting point.
